Feel Something is the debut full-length album from the California post-hardcore, emo band Movements. The album was released on October 20, 2017 through Fearless Records. It is the follow up to the band’s 2016 EP, Outgrown Things. Frontman Patrick Miranda told the following about the album to Billboard in September 2017: I think Movements is starting to come of age. We’re growing into our sound and our abilities as musicians. Feel Something is a very special collection of music

Ultimately, Movements feel like they’re on the precipice of true greatness. This impressive and expressive debut grabbed an immediate hold of me and is every bit as impactful and enjoyable now; however, you get the sense that this is merely a warm-up to a real stunner of a sophomore effort. Time will tell, but the future (no matter how real the stories are) is quite bright for this loud and sad group. Purchase the album here: Physical Digital.

Feel Something is a very special collection of music. We spent over a year and a half writing, and every song went through multiple versions of themselves until we were completely satisfied with the final product. We challenged ourselves, we stepped out of our comfort zones, we tried new things, and we worked our asses off. There were quite literally blood, sweat, and tears poured into this record and we couldn't be happier with the outcome
In terms of the compositions, Movements continue to navigate their way through their music giving breathing room to all the instruments, something I appreciate greatly. The guitar inhabits mostly the mid-high registers, letting the bass stand out and dodging the muddy low-end so common to the genre. The drumming from Spencer York is outstanding; tight and groovy, locking in with Austin Cressey’s solid bass playing.
