It's Hard is the tenth studio album by English rock band the Who. Released on 4 September 1982, it was their last album until 2006's Endless Wire, and therefore the last to feature bassist John Entwistle, who died in 2002. It was also the final Who album with drummer Kenney Jones, as well as the last to be released on Warner Bros. Records in the US. The Honeycombs were a pop rock group which formed in 1963 in London, England. The band's original lineup consisted of Denis D'Ell (vocals, harmonica), Martin Murray (guitar), Alan Ward (guitar), John Lantree (bass) and Ann "Honey" Lantree (drums, vocals). One night the group, known then as The Sheratons, was playing in a London pub, The Mildmay Tavern in the Balls Pond Road.

It’s Hard, The Who’s final studio album until Endless Wire in 2006, was released to coincide with what was billed as The Who’s farewell tour of America, which included two nights at Shea Stadium in New York. It reached in UK charts and in US. Tracks 1-12 recorded and mixed at Turn Up-Down Studio at Glyn John’s home in Surrey in June 1982. The bonus tracks on the 1997 remastered CD (Tracks 13-16) were recorded live at Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Canada, on 16 and 17 December 1982, and also feature Tim Gorman on keyboards.
