Seawind was an American jazz fusion band from Hawaii, consisted of its lead singer Pauline Wilson, guitarist Bud Nuañez, bassist Ken Wild, drummer Bob Wilson, keyboardist and saxophonist Larry Williams, saxophone and flute player Kim Hutchcroft, and trumpeter Jerry Hey. They recorded two albums for CTI Records, one for Horizon Records and one for A&M Records.

Seawind Catamarans are Australia's most popular design of cruising sail and power catamarans, with over 35 years experience in building the highest quality multihulls, charter boats and cruising yachts, which have been exported all around the world. Could a Seawind be the catamaran for you? FEATURED NEWS. Seawind 1260 won the Best Cruising Catamaran Under 50 Feet 2019.

Surely this one is a musthave album from the Golden era of jazz fusion on 80s. Sweet smooth funk discoish jazz from Hawaii produce by George Duke will soothe you. " What'cha Doin" and "Everything needs love " kill this excellent album.

For its fourth album, Seawind joined forces with producer George Duke - a heavyweight who had both jazz and R&B credentials. Duke's roots were jazz, but by the late '70s he had made R&B his main focus. Because he knew R&B and jazz equally well, the eclectic Duke was ideal for Seawind; after all, Seawind was a funk/soul combo that also provided jazz fusion instrumentals. With this self-titled album (which shouldn't be confused with Seawind's self-titled debut album), the Hawaiian unit finally scored a major hit single.

Produced by drummer Harvey Wilson in 1976, Seawind is a superb, highly imaginative debut that thrives on diversity. Singer Pauline Wilson excels on sweaty funk gems like "Make Up Your Mind," "We Got a Way," and "You Gotta Be Willing to Lose," and she is equally expressive on more jazz-oriented offerings such as "The Devil Is a Liar" and "He Loves You" (both of which underscore her Christian beliefs). Meanwhile, Wilson doesn't do any singing at all on the jazz fusion instrumentals "Roadways" and "Praise.
