Loud 'n' Proud is the fourth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, and their second to be released in 1973. It is the first of two albums to go in the Austrian charts. All lyrics written by Pete Agnew, Manny Charlton, Dan McCafferty, Darrell Sweet unless otherwise noted. BBC Sessions: BBC live recordings, recorded for The Bob Harris Show. First transmission date 13 August 1973. Dan McCafferty - lead vocals. Darrell Sweet - percussion, drums, backing vocals.
That said, the album does retain a few stylistic curve balls to keep listeners on their toes: "Turn on Your Receiver" is a mid-tempo slice of country rock (complete with an exaggerated Southern accent in the vocal) and "Child in the Sun," a stately ballad dominated by acoustic guitars. In the end, Loud & Proud lacks the crossover appeal of Razamanaz but remains a bracing collection of rockers that will entertain Nazareth fans and anyone else with a yen for 1970s hard rock.

This is amazing album. 8 months ago. so greate music, i soooo miss the 70s an awsome decade. WOW!!! Nazareth have really made The Ballad Of Hollis Brown their own, hearing their version I wouldn't think it was originally by Bob Dylan.
