The Rolling Stones are once again opening the doors of their archives, with Eagle Rock Entertainment, this time releasing From The Vault – Hampton Coliseum – Live In 1981 and From The Vault - LA Forum – Live In 1975. This is a simultaneous release on SD Blu-ray, DVD, DVD+2CD and DVD+3LP. The first release will be on 3 November 2014, From The Vault – Hampton Coliseum – Live In 1981 by The Rolling Stones. The tour was in support of the critically and commercially successful Tattoo You album. There were fifty dates on the tour which ran from Philadelphia at the end of September through to Hampton, Virginia on the 18th and 19th of December. The show on December 18th, which was also Keith Richards’ birthday, was the first ever music concert to be broadcast on television as a pay-per-view event.

After a week of speculation, the Rolling Stones have announced the release of their 25th studio album, Blue and Lonesome. Described as five decades in the making and just three days to record, the album is a collection of blues covers which takes the band back to their roots in the genre. Recorded at British Grove Studios in Chiswick, west London – not far from Richmond and Eel Pie Island, where the Stones started out as a young band playing pubs and clubs – the followup to 2005’s A Bigger Bang is said to take the band back to their passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of the Rolling. According to a statement from their publicist, the band describe the recording process as spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs.

Recorded in four days, The Rolling Stones’ debut album honoured the blues and introduced the band to America as England’s newest hit makers. Published on. April 16, 2019. The covers the Stones recorded for their UK debut album were largely blues and R&B songs originally released on Chess Records, the label that gave the band their biggest inspiration, but they also included homages to the Motown and Stax labels as well. The nine cover songs on the album are: ‘I Just Wanna Make Love To You’.
