Isobel Campbell, Mark Lanegan. Sunday At Devil Dirt (Wide Release). Авторы текста и музыки.
2008 Import only reissue of the sophomore collaboration album between Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan includes a bonus disc with seven additional live tracks: 'Revolver', 'Carry Home', 'Willow's Song', 'Sand', '(Do You Wanna) Come Walk With Me?', 'The Circus Is Leaving Town' and 'Ramblin' Man'. packaged in a limited hardback.
The second album from odd-couple collaborators Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan feels a touch phony but hardly phoned in. He's got the voice, she's got the songs, and together they take us back to the late 60s. It was another surprising detour in a career composed almost exclusively of detours: Isobel Campbell, former Belle & Sebastian member and sometime solo act, teamed with Mark Lanegan, taciturn former Screaming Trees singer and serial collaborator. With the release of their Ballad of the Broken Seas, the "Beauty and the Beast" lines came fast and furious
Hawk is the third collaborative studio album by Scottish indie pop singer Isobel Campbell and American alternative rock musician Mark Lanegan, released on 24 August 2010 on V2 Records. Recorded throughout the United Kingdom and the United States, Hawk features a number of guest musicians, including folk singer Willy Mason, bassist Bill Wells and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha.
Complete your Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan collection. One of the finest albums of recent years - echoes of Nick Cave and Nick Drake, all beautifully arranged, with Campbell's ethereal backing vocals the perfect foil for Lanegan's gravelly baritone. Reply Notify me Helpful.
Sunday At Devil Dirt is the second collaboration between Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan and it proves that the first time was no fluke - these two have an undeniable chemistry. Revisiting the winning template they created on Ballad of the Broken Seas, the album touches on various aspects of Americana including 12-bar blues, melancholy folk, and spooky country. As with the first album, all of these songs were written and produced by Campbell, once of Belle & Sebastian, and she again does an impressive job of creating an atmosphere ideally suited to Lanegan’s husky baritone.
