Laughing Clowns, sometimes written as The Laughing Clowns, is a post-punk band that formed in Sydney in 1979. In five years, the band released three LPs, two mini albums, and various singles and compilations. Laughing Clowns' sound is free jazz, bluegrass and krautrock influenced. In March 1982 Laughing Clown issued their debut studio album, Mr Uddich-Schmuddich Goes to Town. 101, 159 It was recorded in November of the previous year and was produced by Doyle, Kuepper and Wegener; engineered by Doyle and Peter Walker (ex-Bakery guitarist).
