Jon & Robin were an American pop music duo from the 1960s, composed of Jon Abdnor Junior and Javonne (Robin) Braga. The group recorded for Abdnor's father's label, Abnak Records. Wayne Carson Thompson (famous for writing The Box Tops' hit "The Letter") wrote several of the band's tunes, including their one national US hit single, 1967's "Do it Again a Little Bit Slower" (US and "Dr. Jon (The Medicine Man)", which was a regional hit in Texas and the American South.

Jon Robin Baitz (born November 4, 1961) is an American playwright, screenwriter and television producer. He is a two time Pulitzer Prize finalist, as well as a Guggenheim, American Academy of Arts and Letters, and National Endowment for the Arts Fellow. Baitz was born to a Jewish family in Los Angeles, California, the son of Edward Baitz, an executive of the Carnation Company.

The Best of Jon & Robin Album. Dr. Jon (The Medicine Man) Lyrics. Jon & Robin - Dr. Artist: Jon & Robin. Album: Do It Again! The Best of Jon & Robin. Jon) I don't use no potions I don't use no pills Just give me A little lovin' care I can cure your ills. Now if the world Has got you down I can put your feet Back on the ground Call me up And I'll come down Honey (She laughs) Alright. Jon, Dr. Jon You're my medicine man Dr. Jon You're my medicine man. (Robin) When I'm feeling Low and Blue All I gotta do Is call on you You can make me feel good Yes you can Oh, Dr. (Jon) I specialize in lovin' Twenty-four hours a day I can put the color Back-a-in your cheeks.

Drawing from 1965-1969 singles, their two albums, and three previously unissued tracks, this CD is a solid compilation of Jon & Robin's work that proves they had more to offer than their sole hit, "Do It Again a Little Bit Slower. That song's here, of course, as is their regional smash "Dr. Jon (The Medicine Man)," a beguiling combination of searing fuzz guitar and saucy soul-pop vocal interplay that was also written by Wayne Carson Thompson.
