Cold Lake is the third studio album by Swiss extreme metal band Celtic Frost, released on 1 September 1988 by Noise Records. It features a new lineup, reformed by bandleader Tom Warrior with newly joined musicians Oliver Amberg, Curt Victor Bryant and Stephen Priestly. Despite it being marketed to exploit the mass appeal of glam metal, the album has more of a traditional heavy metal sound.

I dont think theyve ever produced such gimmick fascism before, and they clearly want to release a last album for some cash riding the left-right wawes thats going on at the moment. 11:30 - Mercurial You gave all the other Mikko DsO albums 8 and 9. 09:24 - LuciferOfGayness DsO fanboys: youre a paranoid left winger if you dont like this since 10 years stagnant band. Apparantly I also have a very limited way of approaching art as I dont like gimmick fascism.

Celtic Frost was a metal band from Zürich, Switzerland. They are known for their heavy influence on the extreme metal genres. The group was first active from 1984 to 1993, and re-formed in 2001. Following Tom Gabriel Fischer's departure in 2008, Celtic Frost disbanded. The band was inspired by heavy metal groups such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Venom, but also by gothic rock acts like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Christian Death, and by the hardcore punk group Discharge.

27 окт 2017 : Вокалист CELTIC FROST почтил память коллеги. 22 окт 2017 : Умер бывший басист CELTIC FROST. Frozen waters, a strange land I know I live, as the frost bites. My eyes are closed, but I can't sleep Moving forward, for sleep means death A white shroud covers me I buried myself to stay alive. I feel a hot wind on my shoulder And the touch of a world that's older Turn the switch and check the number Leave it on, in bed I slumber.

Although there were plans to follow up "Monotheist", Thomas G. Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in April 2008, citing "the irresolvable, severe erosion of the personal basis so urgently required to collaborate within a band so unique, volatile, and ambitious", although he later stated that his friendship with Ain was still intact. On September 9, 2008, Martin Eric Ain and Tom G. Fischer announced the definite end of Celtic Frost via the band's official homepage.
