I descended from the Mount Sinai Unleashed the splendor upon a scoundrel mob To shelter where no messianic light Drove one single ray into the pulp ov life Oh sweet Salome, I beckon thee: Bring forth thy heinous offering Without your love So incomplete Corrupt me with your dignity. I decompose in the rapture ov hells Dissolve, divide, disintegrate I am yours In euphoria below.
The Satanist was produced by Behemoth, Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy and Daniel Bergstrand at Hertz Studio. The CD was mixed by Matt Hyde and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York City. The cover art was painted by renowned Russian painter and occultist Denis Forkas. This album will continually sell and in time will be the band's most well-known in their discography. I am checking out their black metal material, but I have a strong feeling it won't resonate with me like this will for many years to come. Keep up the good work, Behemoth.

Overview (current section).
Behemoth's tenth album, The Satanist, is not only the first album by the Polish firebrands in five years, but also their first since frontman Nergal was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010. The collection's vividly rendered, with bright moments that shine outward from the prevailing doom and themes that wind into dense knots and unravel into electrifying leads. In a way, that’s the best point to make regarding Behemoth’s sound before The Satanist: each album was an attempt to imitate its immediate predecessor in a bigger and grander way. Things got more complex, yet at the same time got more predictable. The Satanist is an awakening, but not a complete conversion to a new sound
