Jimmie Hugh Loden (May 1, 1928 – February 22, 2016), known professionally as Sonny James, was an American country music singer and songwriter best known for his 1957 hit, "Young Love". James had 72 country and pop charted releases from 1953 to 1983, including an unprecedented five-year streak of 16 straight Billboard singles among his 26 hits.

Country Music Hall of Famer Sonny James, who scored 22 No. 1 country hits between 1956-1974 including 16 in a row, died 22 February of natural causes. James, who also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was born James Hugh Loden in Hackleburg, Alabama, and sang in his early days with his four sisters, as the Loden Family. It was the first of 72 chart entries over the next 30 years. James’ first No. 1, ‘Young Love,’ hit the top on both the country and pop charts in 1957.

Опубликовано: 13 апр. 2016 г. Sonny James: Sonny James - Sonny Rocks 1-CD DigiPac (6-plated) with 32-page booklet, 34 tracks, playing time 76:27 minutes. Sonny James might not have rocked with the same vengeance as Wanda Jackson, but he made some beautifully crafted country-pop, not to mention the first great 'Nashville Sound' record, Young Love.
