The album explores the variable differences between acoustic and electronic sound as well as depiction of the simulated and the unconscious. It was originally conceived as a collaboration between Jensen and the artist Jonathan Turner as an audio-visual work, but is here presented in it´s pure audible form. Clarice Jensen is the artistic director of ACME, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble. supported by 35 fans who also own For This From That Will Be Filled. LIke tman1015, I am a little scared of this album. It is a deeply shocking and accurate musical portrayal of senile dementia -inasmuch as I've (sadly) observed members of friends and family become gradually subsumed by it.

For this from that will be filled is the debut album by Clarice Jensen, artistic director of the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME)
On her debut album, cellist Clarice Jensen lets sparse compositions bloom into nervous and frequently melancholy clusters of sound. The gaps in the compositions play as much of a role as the slashes of strings, but more importantly, the two elements play beautifully against each other: an absence and a presence, dueling in space.

On For this from that will be filled, Jensen extends the voice of the solo cello using loops, electronic effects and the thoughtful layering of textures and sounds. It might be labeled an ambient album, but the music isn't always conventionally pretty. It's not audio comfort food meant to induce a beatific smile or numb the mind
