Sick cover! Deathwomb Catechesis is the bands first full-length album after a few years of slugging it out with demos and split releases. The experience earned thanks to those releases has proven instrumental for the band; as here on their debut they sound confident and bursting with hellfire. Psuedogod’s style I would say was predominately Black Metal, and I think the Death Metal elements to their sound mostly lie in the riffs and some of the more intense blasting moments. The overall sound of the album is genuinely apocalyptic and I would say that this probably isn’t for the weak of heart. Pseudogod is here to punish you and these guys don’t beat around the bush. There are riffs all over the place, firing at brute force like in a shooting range; only there are no walls or any protective gear. One misstep and you’re going to be taken out, if the riffs don’t do it then the machine gun drumming certainly will do.

Deathwomb Catechesis by PSEUDOGOD, released 22 May 2012 1. Vehement Decimation 2. Malignant Spears 3. Saturnalia (The Night of the Return) 4. Azazel 5. The Antichrist Victory 6. Necromancy Of The Iron Darkness 7. Encarnacion Del Mal 8. The Triangular Phosphorescence Boundless morbidity, bestial churn, grinding disease, otherworldly dread: these are the hallmarks of Russian terrorists PSEUDOGOD, who've quickly decimated the extreme Satanic BlackDeath scene over the past few years to become one of the most-hailed bands around. And that horrible splendor will shine even further with the release of their highly anticipated debut album, "Deathwomb Catechesis.
This is dark, unhinged bestial Metal Of Death, but not all shitty and goaty, full of all the trademark bestial-isms - fast riffs, fast drums, throaty delayed vocals, leather - but so much better than so much of the shit out there
Deathwomb Catechesis," the long awaited debut album from Russian terrorists PSEUDOGOD. Cover artwork by Antichrist Kramer - interior artwork by Alexander Brown. CD, LP, Pic LP (111 copies) on HHR with Kvlt Records releasing their own version on CD, LP & Cassette (much like the Beherit collaboration). Evoking its namesake as well as a host of other nameless horrors, this work of art drives deep into the mysteries of death, dragging the helpless listen along as their sepulchral black/death conjures its spell. Prepare, then, to enter PSEUDOGOD's deathwomb! Recommended for die hards of ARCHGOAT, KATHARSIS, TEITANBLOOD, early BELIAL, and DEMONCY.
