Outsider is the sixth studio album by Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. It was released on March 9, 2018 through RCA Records. The album was produced by two of the band's prior producers, Gavin Brown and Howard Benson but also by members of the band themselves. It is the second album to feature Matt Walst as lead vocalist. The album was preceded by the release of its first single, "The Mountain".

Three Days Grace are back on the scene with new music and soon fans will have a full album to digest. The band's sixth studio album is titled Outsider and it will be released March 9 via RCA Records. To kick off promotion for the disc, they've has also issued a brand new video for the song "The Mountain" that you can see above. Workout warriors should be thrilled with this motivational new clip and cut. The band teamed up with director Sean Cartwright for the video, which was filmed at a UFC octagon and features a guest cameo by UFC fighter Misha Cirkunov. Doing their "own thing" on Outsider meant getting back to the basics. The band wrote a portion of the disc in a converted garage behind Brad Walst's house two hours away from Toronto. This is all about taking a step back from life’s madness without destroying yourself, cutting everyone off, or going crazy, says Neil Sanderson.

Outsider - Three Days Grace's second effort with frontman Matt Walst, who replaced Adam Gontier during 2013 - represented a change in working methods for the quintet. Coming off a long tour supporting 2015's Human, the group decided to "work on this record in as much isolation as possible," according to Sanderson, with a year's worth of writing at his rural property in Ontario as well as bassist Brad Walst's home two hours outside of Toronto. Three Days Grace has a handful of shows booked so far, including Rock on the Range during May and the Ottawa Bluesfest in July, with more to be announced soon.
