Jokers Wild recorded 3 singles between 1967 and 1969 in Minnesota but the complete album LIQUID GIRAFFE was never released. Starting as a 5 man band most of the material was recorded by the 3 main members: Lonnie Knight, Denny Johnson and Pete Huber. Later Lonnie Knight became guitarist of The Litter for a while but he returned to Jokers Wild. What a powerful band this is. Huge amp stacks guaranteed a wall of sound on stage. Double bass drum, cool outfits, they must have been been great on stage. and Brother Clark wrote: In ’67 I saw two local bands that again amped.
Profile: Minnesota garage rock band with a progressive rock sound. In 1967 their manager, David Anthony, organized a change of personnel between Jokers Wild and The Rave-Ons to form a new group called South 40. Post 1967 Members: Lonnie Knight – Vocals and Lead Guitar Bill Jordan – Guitar (replaced by Dale Strength, then Danny Kane) Denny Johnson – Bass Pete Huber – Drums Greg Springer – Keyboards. Lonnie Knight was a member of The Castaways and the Rave-Ons before joining Jokers Wild.

Jokers Wild were an English Rock band formed in Cambridge in 1962. The line-up included guitarist David Gilmour and saxophonist Dick Parry. Gilmour went on to join the band Pink Floyd and Parry went on to become a session musician, playing on three Pink Floyd studio albums and one live album. Parry also went on to join Gilmour's 2006 solo tour
