Wind of Change" is a power ballad by the German rock band Scorpions, recorded for their eleventh studio album, Crazy World (1990). The song was composed and written by the band's lead singer Klaus Meine and produced by Keith Olsen and the band. It was released as the album's third single in January 1991 and became a worldwide hit, just after the failed coup that would eventually lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The wind of change blows straight Into the face of time Like a storm wind that will ring The freedom bell for peace of mind Let your balalaika sing What my guitar wants to sing. About Wind of Change. The 4th track and 3rd single of Scorpions‘ 1990 album Crazy World.
Lyrics to "Wind Of Change" song by Scorpions: I follow the Moskva Down to Gorky Park Listening to the wind of change An August summer night Soldie. The world is closing in Did you ever think That we could be so close, like brothers The future's in the air I can feel it everywhere Blowing with the wind of change. Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away in the wind of change. Walking down the street Distant memories Are buried in the past forever I follow the Moskva Down to Gorky Park Listening to the wind of change.
Wind of Change" is a 1990 power ballad written by Klaus Meine, lead vocalist of the German hard rock/metal band Scorpions. It appeared on their 1990 album Crazy World, but did not become a worldwide hit single until 1991, when it topped the charts in Germany and across Europe, and hit in the United States and in the United Kingdom. Still Loving You. Scorpions.
Wind of Change" was the perfect song at the perfect moment for Scorpions - a lighter-waving ballad whose lyrics captured the zeitgeist at a time of immense political upheaval, and became an anthem for the end of the Cold War in the bargain. In fact, partly due to the its video, "Wind of Change" is commonly associated with the fall of the Berlin Wall - but as the band members told Rolling Stone in a recently published oral history of the track, it was actually inspired by events that took place well before the Wall started coming down in late 1989
