The Beatles (commonly known as The White Album) is the eponymous tenth studio album by English rock band The Beatles.

The Beatles made a stunning success – the song was easy for the ear and their hairstyles and the way they dressed (very criticized in the beginning of the 60’s) became fashion standards. Their second single – From Me To You became a hit and their debut album Please, Please Me was a success ion Great Britain. Their next single She Loves You, with the characteristic yeah, yeah, yeah in the chorus was first in the UK hit list, becoming one of the most popular singles in the history of British music industry. In 1963 The Beatles had the world on it’s knees. They starred in two movies ( A hard day(‘s?) night and Help! ), which were hits.

The album provided the perfect soundtrack for the mood of a world, which was immersed in controversy over the Vietnam War, drugs and rebellion. These themes were also present in Magical Mystery Tour, although the latter album (and televisions special aired in the UK) had a more hopeful tone and the song "All You Need is Love" was the first world satellite broadcast to reach the entire world.

The Beatles' self-titled ninth studio album, released in 1968, marked a significant musical departure for the group. The band's albums had grown more experimental, and the album that would become known as The White Album was no exception, taking influences from a variety of places. At some point, Ringo Starr hit a wall and began to question whether he was the one causing the tension due to the way he was playing at the time.
