IBM 1401, A User's Manual is the fourth full length studio album by Icelandic musician Jóhann Jóhannsson, released by 4AD on October 30, 2006. 4AD released the album on vinyl for the first time on December 8, 2017. The reissue was a double LP pressing on clear-coloured vinyl and included two previously unreleased live bonus tracks.

Fordlandia is the sixth full-length studio album by Icelandic musician Jóhann Jóhannsson. The album was released on 3 November 2008 via 4AD, his second new release for the record label (following 2006's IBM 1401, A User's Manual).

IBM 1401, which evokes every computer sci-fi film I can think of since 2001: A Space Odyssey, was originally written as a performance piece with choreographer Erna Ómarsdottir, who contributes operatic vocals to Part 4 – IBM 729 II Magnetic Tape Unit. The album is less musically varied than Jóhannsson’s previous work, but it’s also more ambitious.
