Listen free to Gridlock – Trace (Bu'yaam, Voiceless and more). There exist two versions of this album - LP and CD - with two different tracklists. 364:277 is a re-mix of 36:6:115 which was released 2001 on 7" vinyl with a song by O. 001 on the b-side. O2 was a short-lived side project of Mike Wells (Gridlock). O2 made its second and final appearance on Live Traces limited CD-r - the track.
Etichetta: Unit – U07. Formato: CD, Album. Gridlock's follow-up album, Formless, came close to this perfection but took a slightly different turn. A gem. Rispondi Avvertimi 4 Helpful.
Format: Vinyl, LP, Album. Country: US. Released: 2002. Vinyl and CD versions of this album differ greatly, I'd recommend picking up both. One of the best trips I've ever had was to this record - I swear I can still feel the serotonin dropping on the track "UH . 7". Reply Notify me Helpful.
formless, gridlock’s fourth album and first full-length for hymen, is as far away from the acrid, slight world of plug-ins and software music as you could possibly get, which is rather ironic considering that gridlock’s mike wells and mike cadoo live in the would-be epicenter of laptop music, san francisco.
They record under different names now. However; in the time that they made music I think Trace was probably their best album. Trace has some very ambient sounding tracks on it, and the duo also puts the ambient sounding tracks in back of the more harsh sounding music. Its simply wonderful. You can listen to this at any time of the day.
This can be seen as a summary of the whole release, in a distinct case of less being more. Trace is more of the noisy soundscape that Gridlock have become known for (especially from their previous release, Further), but with fewer sounds. The result is a clinically sparse, compelling IDM sound that marks a departure from their previous dense and ethereal releases.

Gridlock'd – The Soundtrack is the soundtrack to Vondie Curtis-Hall film Gridlock'd and was released on 28 January 1997 by Death Row Records and Interscope Records. The track "Off The Hook" was originally recorded for the LBC Crew debut album Haven't You Heard? (We Givin' Something Bacc To The Street), which was later shelved and the songs were cycled through other Death Row releases. The album had two chart running singles.
