The Incredible String Band (sometimes abbreviated as ISB) were a British psychedelic folk band formed by Clive Palmer, Robin Williamson and Mike Heron in Edinburgh in 1966. The band built a considerable following, especially in the British counterculture, notably with their albums The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion, The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter, and Wee Tam and the Big Huge

Wee Tam was originally issued in their native Britain as a double album. In the States, the album was split between this collection and The Big Huge. Mike Heron’s Log Cabin Home In the Sky is a country-folk tune that features delightfully loose harmonies that make for extra raunch. You Get Brighter is a sweet love song that has survived the years as one of ISB’s more popular live tracks. Robin Williamson’s The Half-Remarkable Question is a nicely arranged piece of mysticism circa 1968

Wee Tam is a music studio album recording by THE INCREDIBLE STRING BAND (Prog Folk/Progressive Rock) released in 1968 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Originally released as a double album Wee Tam & The Big Huge for some reasons gets commercialized as two separate Cds, the first called Wee Tam and the next being The Big Huge. Again the Boyd/Elektra connection is present, the pastoral setting of artwork (both albums photos taken from the same shoot (same clothes) and the group was at its apex.

Originally issued as a double LP set in 1968 in the ., Wee Tam & the Big Huge was split into two LPs for the . market in 1969 to no avail; they still didn't sell. The music on these two albums is ultimately kinder than the Incredible String Band's earlier albums, their self-titled debut, and The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion and The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter.

Renews automatically. The sense with which the two titles can be combined as & Big Huge Wee Tam' is one small sign of how these two albums were always supposed to be seen as a single work, in much the same way as Dylan's & on Blond' and the Beatles' & album' are two phonographs in a single album
