The irony of 2014 is that we got a great year of songs but yet it's been one of the worst years in rap music with no albums going platinum. Nicki Minaj one of the few heavy hitters coming out this tear may be the last hope for 2014. She'll be wrapping up the 4th quarter with her new album The Pinkprint.
Nicki Minaj's sound is refreshing in her third album, The Pinkprint, an album that displays her personal side much better than her first two LPs. The dichotomy between rap and pop is still evident here but it is more intertwined than anything this time around, making this album easily her most listenable and consistent. who's the idiot who decided Truffle Butter doesn't deserve to be on the main album?!? also every emotional song on here sounds the same and there's so much pop influence that any interesting song idea, like Trini Dem Girls, becomes bogged down instead of allowed to be the freak it is! Why Nicki why!!!
