Natty Dread is the seventh studio album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, released in 1974. It was the first album released as Bob Marley and the Wailers instead of just the Wailers, the first recorded without Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, and the first recorded with I Threes, a female vocal trio consisting of Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, and Marley's wife, Rita Marley.

Survival is the eleventh studio album by Bob Marley & The Wailers released in 1979. Survival is an album with an outwardly militant theme. Some critics speculate that this was due in part to criticism Marley received for the laid-back, ganja-soaked atmosphere of his previous release, "Kaya", which seemed to sidetrack the urgency of his message. In the song "Africa Unite", Marley proclaims Pan-African solidarity. The song "Zimbabwe" is a hymn dedicated to later-independent Rhodesia

As part of the Wailers and before the release of Natty Dread, Bob Marley had already put in a considerable effort to break into the charts with his first international album releases Catch A Fire and Burnin’. I Shot The Sherriff’ became a US N. hit (still Clapton’s only such success) and his enthusiastic endorsement of a Marley song, with an arrangement that did not differ hugely from the original (on the Burnin’ album), was a considerable spur to popular acceptance of reggae music in general and Marley in particular. The timing of Clapton’s hit could not have been better.

Lyrics to "Natty Dread" song by Bob Marley & The Wailers: Dread, Natty Dread now, (Natty Dread) Dreadlock Congo Bongo I. (Natty Dread) Natty Dreadlock in . .Don't care what the world seh; (Natty Dread) I'n'I couldn't never go astray. Natty Dread) Just like a bright and sunny day: (Natty Dread) Oh, we're gonna have things our way. (Natty Dread) Natty Dread, Natty Dreadlock, (Natty Dreadlock) Dreadlock Congo Bongo I. (Natty Dreadlock) Don't care what the world seh; (Natty Dreadlock) I'n'I gonna have things our way. (Natty Dreadlock) If a egg Natty in a the red - (Natty Dreadlock) If a egg Natty in a the red. (Natty Dreadlock) Natty Dread, Natty Dreadlock.
