Wrekmeister Harmonies, led by musician and composer JR Robinson, is an experimental music collective. Named after the Béla Tarr movie Werckmeister Harmonies, it combines elements of drone music, serialism, post-rock, and heavy metal. Wrekmeister Harmonies typically performs a single composition, often almost an hour in length, beginning with a slow build, shifting into a cathartic middle section, concluding with either a peaceful or disquieting resolution.

The Alone Rush is out Friday 13 April, they'll be playing a release show in New York that Saturday before heading out on a big ol' European tour, including a set at Roadburn Festival. Wrekmeister Harmonies added an event. March 29 ·. JR Robinson and Esther Shaw have been the creative heart of Wrekmeister Harmonies since 2014. Through their various collaborators and incarnations (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thor Harris, Ryley Walker, The Body, Einstürzende Neubauten) they have remained the constant pulse of the band as well.
