Endless, Nameless is the third album proper by The Wildhearts (Fishing for Luckies originally being a fan club-only release), and was their first album to be released on Mushroom Records following a split with original record label EastWest. With the increasing popularity of bands such as The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy, the band was encouraged by their new label to move towards a heavier sound.

The Nameless is the third album released by Irish singer Cathy Davey. It was released on 7 May 2010 in Ireland as the follow-up to her 2007 second album Tales of Silversleeve. The first single from the album "Little Red" debuted on Cathy Davey's My Space page. Recording for the album began in spring 2008 and continued until early 2010. Villagers' Conor J. O'Brien makes a guest appearance on "Army of Tears". Promotion for the album began with an exclusive look at the artwork in Hot Press magazine.

Endless, Nameless was nearly forgotten about during the initial pressings, as audio engineer Howie Weinberg forgot to even put it on the track listing. Frontman, guitarist, and lead singer Kurt Cobain discovered the lack of the song and demanded to Weinberg that the song was put back onto the album. Unfortunately, the track could not be added back into the normal listing after 20,000 copies of the album had already been distributed and would instead be used as a hidden track
