Destruction Of Youth. A5. –The Deathskulls. B4. –Armed Response Unit.
Armed Response Unit are a Crust-Thrash band from London. They were formed in 2005 and recorded their first 7" "No Point Calling The Cops" with Seamus Defcon Zero on vocals, Kiara on bass, Seedi on guitar and Nick on drums. After Nick's departure Seedi asked his friend Ben if he wanted to join. The band then embarked on a large tour of Europe with The Short Bus Window Lickers and returned to record a third 7", another split-this time with Deathskulls entitled "Like music but faster" which took the band in a more thrashy direction. In the summer of 2008 they again embarked on a tour of Europe, this time on their own. Stylistically ARU take a mish mash of old clichés in hardcore, punk, thrash, metal and grind and slap them all together in a way that whilst humerous, is not ludicrous and then play it as fast as they possibly can.
Lost The Fuckin' Plot. Back Up. A3–The Deathskulls.
Upon hearing the album, the record label felt that a more versatile vocalist was needed to do the music more justice. Although the band felt that Sy Keeler's vocals on the demo recording had the right sound, the production had a more polished sound – hence the need for a more polished vocalist. Steve Grimmett, formerly of NWOBHM act Grim Reaper, was drafted in to replace the departing Sy Keeler. Owing to this development, the release of the album was delayed until the summer of 1989. On 14 September 2015, Onslaught announced that they had recruited Iain GT Davies as a full-time replacement for Andy Rosser Davies.
VI is the sixth studio album by English thrash metal band Onslaught, released on 20 September 2013. It is their second album to have bassist Jeff Williams, third in a row to have vocalist Sy Keeler, and only to feature drummer Michael Hourihan. All lyrics written by Nige Rockett/Regina Mitchell; all music composed by Nige Rockett and Andy Rosser-Davies. Nige Rockett - guitar. Andy Rosser-Davies - guitar. Jeff Williams - bass. Michael Hourihan - drums.
