Only for completionists (0%). A very enjoyable album, if not the best for Crack the Sky, ''Safety in Numbers'' has a bit of everything: prog epics (and probably the best two songs of the album) in ''Nuclear Apathy'' and the title track, outright rockers with perplexed guitar playing (''Flashlight'', ''Lighten Up McGraw. ', ''Give Myself to You'') and mellower moments in the pleasant ''Long Nights'' and the rather disappointing ''A Night on the Town''. Actually there is a strong Queen.

Safety in Numbers is the third studio album by American rock band Crack the Sky, released on LP in 1978 (see 1978 in music) by Lifesong Records (catalog 35041). It is the band's highest charting release on the Billboard album chart, peaking at This album is markedly different from the previous two Crack The Sky releases, being largely written by Rick Witkowski with Joe Macre and Rob Stevens. This song is by Crack the Sky and appears on the album Safety In Numbers (1978).

Crack the Sky is an American progressive rock band formed in Weirton, West Virginia in the early 1970s. In 1975, Rolling Stone declared their first album "debut album of the year", and in 1978, Rolling Stone Record Guide compared them to Steely Dan; their first three albums charted on the Billboard 200. The band has never achieved great success outside the Baltimore area. Despite this, they continue to release albums and perform to a small but devoted fan base to this day.
