Matthew Abraham Groening (/ˈɡreɪnɪŋ/ (listen) GRAY-ning; born February 15, 1954) is an American cartoonist, writer, producer, animator, and voice actor. He is the creator of the comic strip Life in Hell (1977–2012) and the television series The Simpsons (1989–present), Futurama (1999–2003, 2008–2013), and Disenchantment (2018–present). The Simpsons is the longest-running . series in history and the longest-running . animated series and sitcom.

This past weekend was the Matt Groening-curated ATP, which went down in Butlins, Minehead, UK. Iggy Pop and Toumani Diabate were the highlights of the first night (along with ATP staples Built To Spill, Broadcast, Liars, and Shonen Knife). Day 2 featured performances from the xx and Boredoms (both bands would place twice, the latter did Boadrum with Zach Hill, Kid Millions, and drummers from Ponytail, DMBQ, and Pit Er Pat), Deerhunter, Danielson, She & Him, Thee Oh Sees, a late night Panda Bear set, among others.
