The Sea Within are an international rock supergroup formed in 2017 by Swedish guitarist and singer-songwriter Roine Stolt, bassist Jonas Reingold and guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw, German drummer Marco Minnemann, and American keyboardist Tom Brislin. Their self-titled debut album was released on 22 June 2018. The band's formation was first announced in December 2017.

Overall, The Sea Within’s first album is a highly impressive but diverse voyage. Passengers on this ship will experience expansive high sea views, daunting subaqueous emotional depth and even fathomless submerged darkness. But they will also enjoy pleasing coral imagery, aquamarine beams of musical light, frolicking waves of melody, compositional variety and, most certainly, virtuosity of oceanic proportions. If the album misses the total perfection that its line-up portends, it is only because some of it feels a little more fragmented than it perhaps could have done

Table salt - the most common - is harvested from salt deposits found underground. It's highly refined and finely ground, with impurities and trace minerals removed in the process. It's also treated with an anti-caking agent to keep from clumping. Most table salt is iodized, meaning iodine has been added to prevent iodine deficiency, which can (and does, in much of the world) cause hypothyroidism and other maladies. Koshering salt - or kosher salt, in the . is flakier and coarser-grained than regular table salt.

At 377 meters deep, it is also the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. Dead Sea has a salinity level of of 3. %, which is . times saltier than the ocean. As much as 340 grams of salt is dissolved per liter of water. The Dead Sea is fed by the Jordan river but there is no outlet. Salts have accumulated in the basin, sometimes by percolation through the surrounding earth, gradually building up over the centuries. The water contains more than 35 different types of minerals including magnesium, calcium, potassium, bromine, sulfur, and iodine. The odd chemistry results in the appearance of some striking, but transient, salt crystal formations. Along the shores of the Dead Sea variations in the forms depend on how ions are arranged within the structure and whether other ions or trace elements find their way into the lattice to substitute for particles with the same charge.

You might think that deep sea volcanic activity would heat up the deep ocean waters and it does-but only slightly. The mid-ocean ridge system, which is really a long string of submarine volcanoes, supports hydrothermal vents: deep sea hot springs. These vents spew super-heated mineral-rich water (sometimes called hydrothermal fluid). Every fifth dive, two pilots go down on the ALVIN. The second pilot is there to receive extra sub operation training, all under the watchful eye of the master pilot. PIT ("pilot in training") dives are very important; each new pilot has to develop an instinct to know exactly how close to different spots on the chimney he or she can bring the sub.

But ‘The Sea Within’ album is a great start. I am excited for everyone to hear what we have done and am now thrilled to start working on the songs for the live show. As mentioned, The Sea Within has recently announced their first confirmed live date, taking to the stage at Night of the Prog Festival 2018 at Loreley, Germany on the weekend of 13-15th July 2018.

Sea salt marketing copy breaks down into two basic claims: Sea salt is a) better for you and b) better tasting. Both of those claims are based on its mineral content. First, the health angle. When evaporate seawater evaporates, sodium chloride isn’t all that’s left. There are trace minerals as well, but the operative word is trace. Chemical analysis reveals that, other than sodium chloride, sea salt is about 4 percent magnesium and 1 percent each calcium and potassium (by weight). We’d have to eat it by the spoonful to get anything like a meaningful amount of minerals. Haspel, a freelance writer, blogs at ww. tarvingofftheland. The manifold cipher of the sea frames the shores of Whitman’s poetry. The Earth moves through space like the divine ship sails the divine sea. The ocean is the brine of life and of unshovell’d yet always-ready graves. It is, like the poet himself, of one phase, and of all phases.
