The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The line-up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr led them to be regarded as the most influential band of all time. With a sound rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, the group were integral to the evolution of pop music into an art form, and to the development of the counterculture of the 1960s.

On the face of it, the idea of having Sonny Curtis record an instrumental album of early Beatles covers in the "flamenco guitar style" sounds daft, and a possible insult to the talents of both the Beatles and Curtis. Surprisingly enough, however, Beatle Hits Flamenco Style Guitar is, as the 2006 CD reissue on El/Cherry Red claims on the back cover, "arguably the most refined of all original Beatles exploitation albums and certainly one of the most unusual.

More than ever considered as the ‘fifth Beatle’, producer George Martin runs out a magic carpet of discoveries that would go on to influence the future of pop. When this eighth studio album is released in June 1967, the era is one that has embraced the all-out psychedelic, and this concept album is a true hallucinatory trip (not only for Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds)  . After discovering the endless possibilities offered to them in the recording studio, John, Paul, George and Ringo continue their crazy musical experiments. First album ever of all original songs by a single artist or band. Before this album, all albums were full of covers and songs written by song writers. All songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney - westofohio. I’m so sad that so many people over look this album because it is amazing - magnolai-ia. I go through phases with Beatle albums, the last 20 years I would have said their later stuff, especially pepper and the white album. It's also the definitive greatest hits album released by the band, in that all the songs are on one disc and this album shows just how big they were; 27 number one hits in total between the US and UK. There is so many good songs in this album how is it not number 1 - snackaberg.

Soon after the White Album came out, Harrison was in Woodstock, New York, spending Thanksgiving with Dylan and the Band. He and Dylan wrote "I'd Have You Anytime," which became the first track on All Things Must Pass and the first step toward a lasting friendship. Appears On: The Beatles. One of the pivotal songs of Lennon's early Beatle years arrived when he least expected it. "The whole thing came out in one gulp," he told Rolling Stone in 1970. I remember I was just going through this paranoia trying to write something and nothing would come out, so I just lay down and tried not to write and then this came ou. What emerged was an expression of the boredom and frustration Lennon was feeling in his cocoonlike existence as a Beatle.
