This out-of-print LP is the only major flaw in altoist Jackie McLean's long career, a set of electronic rhythms, dumb vocals ("Doctor Jackyll and Mister Funk") and unadventurous playing that is instantly forgettable. It would be quite a few years before Jackie McLean reappeared on records again after this artistic (and commercial) fiasco.
