The Salteens are a Canadian indie pop group based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The band released several albums of light pop music, toured in Canada and Australia; a number of their tracks were in rotation on CBC Radio. The Salteens formed in Vancouver in 1997. Their 2000 debut LP Short-Term Memories was released on Endearing Records. For the next two years the band performed in support of this release, earning a fan base in Canada, Australia, Japan and the United States.

Tomorrow, Motor Away by Salteens, released 01 April 2000 1. Tomorrow 2. Motor Away Out of print 7" that's too pop to be rock and too rock to be pop. The a-side "Tomorrow" was recorded in Toronto while on tour. The b-side is a cover of Guided By Voices' "Motor Away", with the Salteens treatment including lots of "ba ba da baaah baaah baaahs". The Salteens is an indie band formed in Vancouver, BC in 2000. The original line-up has changed over the years, with the constant being the band's leader, Scott Walker. The Salteens released Short-Term Memories in 2000 and toured Canada, the USA, Australia and Japan extensively. Walker and ex-Salteens member Rob Calder started up Boompa Records in 2003 to release the second Salteens album, Let Go of Your Bad Days, the same year.
