Album Name Starve for the Devil. Being added to that is the fact that some song structures, some solos and some lyrics make this album have influences from traditional Heavy Metal and sometimes even a tiny bit of old school Hard Rock. Of course, this isn't quite what the fans used to hear on the band's records when it appeared, but it's not because of a change like this that Arsis will stop being a good solid band, that still practice good Metal, extremely well done, making their name stronger in the world heavy panorama.
Starve For The Devil by Arsis is easily one of the year's most unexpected surprises as far as new, original music goes
His Eyes (Pseudo Echo cover) Lyrics. Unto the Knife Lyrics. Dead Is Better Lyrics. Funeral Might Lyrics. A Pulse Keeping Time with the Dark Lyrics. As Deep as Your Flesh Lyrics. A Feast for the Liar's Tongue Lyrics. Progressive Entrapment Lyrics. Falling Winds of Hopeless Greed Lyrics. Servants to the Night Lyrics. Sightless Wisdom Lyrics. Shattering the Spell Lyrics.
The fourth full-length from Virginia-based technical metal band Arsis represents a deliberate move toward the mainstream. The complex song structures of A Celebration of Guilt and United in Regret are long gone, replaced with a melodic death metal sound reminiscent of Arch Enemy. It's fair to say that fans of the band's early, progressive/brutal work will find this turn toward the anthemic and fist-pumping more than a little shocking, but it's been a fairly gradual change, all things considered
