Complete sua coleção de The Graham Bond Organization.
Bond's second album stakes out similar territory as his debut in a more polished but slightly less exciting fashion. Some of the covers are a bit routine and hackneyed, and the original material isn't quite as strong (or frequent) as on the first effort. On a few tunes, the group expands from rave-ups to mellower, jazzier ballads that retain an R&B base
Graham Bond reunited with his former bandmates in the early 1970s, playing with Ginger Baker's Air Force and also spending a short time touring with Jack Bruce's band. He subsequently signed a contract with Vertigo Records and was reportedly off drugs by this time, although he was becoming increasingly obsessed with black magic. 1965 There's a Bond Between Us. 1988 Live at Klooks Kleek (recorded 1964).
There’s a Bond Between Us. Remastered for vinyl by Jon Astley. Cut at Abbey Road, London. Supervised by Pete Brown. The second studio album from the Organization has Graham adding Mellotron to his keyboards, making some of the performances sound very eerie. Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Wolf?’ kicks off a 12-track blast of R&B with vocals from Jack and Graham powered up by Baker’s passionate drumming. The original LP is now boosted with the addition of 6 rare bonus tracks. Walking In The Park’ and Baker’s ‘Camels And Elephants’ are among the highlights
The Graham Bond Organization is famous more for spawning two-thirds of Cream, than for their own accomplishments, at least in the US where it has been virtually impossible to get their recordings until recently. This disc shows them to be great musicians with absoultely no talent for playing it safe or going commercial. Great double album for 60's English blues, featuring members who went on to be successful in Cream.
