Jonathan Edwards (born July 28, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter and musician best known for his 1971 hit single "Sunshine". Jonathan Edwards was born John Evan Edwards on July 28, 1946 in Aitkin, Minnesota, United States. At the age of six, he moved with his family to Virginia where he grew up. At the age of eight, he began singing in church and learning to play piano by ear. While attending military school, he began playing guitar and composing his own songs.

Jonathan David Edwards, CBE (born 10 May 1966) is a British former triple jumper. He is an Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European champion, and has held the world record in the event since 1995. Formerly a devout Christian, he also presented episodes of the BBC Christian worship programme Songs of Praise, until he renounced his faith in 2007

What is Jonathan Edwards most known for? What impact did Jonathan Edwards have on early American Christianity? . Many made outward assent to the faith and partook in the life of the church, but they gave no evidence of genuine conversion. The people of Northampton were generally complacent about spiritual things. Church discipline had become lax, and there had been very little screening for church membership. He normally read his sermons with very little animation, with his face close to the manuscript as he had poor eyesight (and also, it is reported, poor penmanship). Under Edwards’ influence, the revival known as the Great Awakening took place. Edwards penned a history of the local effects of the revival in his 1736 essay A Faithful Narrative of the Surprising Work of God.

355 quotes from Jonathan Edwards: 'God is the highest good of the reasonable creature. The enjoyment of him is our proper; and is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Better than fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of any, or all earthly friends. These are but shadows; but the enjoyment of God is the substance. These are but scattered beams; but God is the sun. These are but streams; but God is the fountain

Jonathan Edwards (October 5, 1703 - March 22, 1758) was a colonial American Congregationalist preacher and theologian. He was a prominent leader of the east-coast revivals of the 1730s and 1740s known as the Great Awakening, which defined Christianity in the new world as distinctive from its European forms and allowed it to adapt to a democratic society. At the same time he is known as one of the greatest and most profound American evangelical theologians; he explicated the fundamentals of Reformed Calvinism according to reason and common sense, relying minimally on arguments from the Bible

And Caroline Flack indulged in some downtime over the weekend, stepping out in a heart print mini dress for lunch with a friend in Mallorca, ahead of her flight back to the UK. The Love Island host, 39, showcased her sun-kissed skin in the short black-and-white frock, which featured a bardot neckline and exaggerated balloon sleeves. In the Beach Hut, Lucie added: 'This is like day one again but fresh boys in a different villa and completely every single one of them are completely different and they're all great looking, what's not to like?' Given that Casa Amor has proven to be the true test for many a Love Island relationship, it remains to be seen which ones will survive.
